The Altar Server ministry calls the youth of our parish to be involved in a very important ministry by assisting the priest at the Altar of our Lord. They are trained to serve and must continue to attend training sessions. New members must have received their First Holy Communion. For all requirements, please see below.

To become an Altar Server, child must:

• be at least 7 years old and have completed the second grade.

• be a baptized Catholic who has received First Communion.

• attend training course session.

• attend observations during Mass.

• be committed to serving our parish in a prompt, consistent, and devoted manner.
• arrive at the church at least 30 minutes before the beginning of Mass.
• remain after Mass to clear the altar, extinguish the candles, etc.
• serve at Holy Days of Obligation, and other special liturgies as needed.
• arrange for substitutes when not available as scheduled.
